WHO WE ARE
We have a long-term partnership with the non-profit organization New Renato Community, after which our Czech branch, Friends of New Renato, is named. This branch oversees the entire school construction project in Kashitu. The community consists of locals from various backgrounds and with different experiences who have decided to actively support the development of their region. In fact, the original initiative for the Kashitu School project came from them. Get to know our friends and collaborators from Kashitu whether they are members of NRCS or workers at the construction or in the workshops!
Rhoidah
I am a passionate mother of 7 children, aged 47. A psycho-social and HIV/AIDS management counsellor. Am learning tailoring, bee keeping women supervisor at kashitu school and am in charge of marketing at New Renato community society.
These projects have taught me various skills and we are benefiting direct and family, and am wishing to continue being part of the team and work together with Czech volunteers.
Mr. Phiri shardrick
I am 59 years old, with four children. am a specialist in metal fabrication, panel beating and welding. I have ideas in simple and heavy machinery and engineering. At kashitu secondary projects, am doing all metal welding related works and I make smokers for bee keepers, I enjoy working with Czech guys because they are cooperative and have sense of humor.
I would recommend more youths to be trained and develop the training institute for metal fabrication for more man power.

I am committed to the local community because I care deeply about its development and about every person in it. Everyone needs a personalized approach, and I enjoy working with people on an individual basis. I live with my wife in Kapiri, but I also spend a lot of time in Kashitu, a place that is very dear to me and where I represent the nonprofit organization New Renato Community Society. I have four sons.
Mr. Thomas
As a long-time beekeeper and beekeeping instructor, I support the local beekeeping community by providing training, technical advice, and assistance with honey processing,... I organize training and educational programs for beekeepers in the area. I live in a small house in Kashitu, right near the construction site, so I'm close to the volunteers, even though I often travel to visit beekeepers in the area to help and advise them in their work.
Elijah
Am a determined young man aged 27, coming from northern part of Zambia, came and joined Kashitu- New Renato Community society in 2023 as a trainee for construction. I have gained different kind of construction skills just from the foundation of the building until roofing completion stage.
Excitingly, am now working as the store's manager of the workshop and every equipment and tools at facility to make sure that are kept safe and in a good condition. I interact with Czech volunteers, they are always amazing and good to work with
And am wishing the completion of secondary school to be the benefits of the community.

Am a stylish young lady, 23 of age with one baby girl child, just completed my secondary education, in addition I am the hairdresser at the facility I plait hair for both Czech and Zambian people and joined new Renato community society to learn tailoring and now am able to sew products with minimal supervision and few challenges. in our country to access skills it's to pay but for these project skills the organization offers to learn for free. Czech people are like they just come from the same family, they are ever smiling, good to work with and during social and funny activities like camp fire and church.
And I wish to learn more skills and acquire a certificate in tailoring.
Mr. Mumba
I witnessed just the begin of New Renato community society years back but it has developed because of the projects of the workshop, honey production shop and kashitu secondary school. Am 66years old I have one child and 6 grandchildren.
I work as a carpenter at the work shop, I have gotten carpentry skills, making bee hives, swarm boxes, top bars for bee keepers and other products of our customers.
I wish to finish building secondary school I will be very happy upon witnessing the official launching of school.
Adesy Tracy Kafwembe
I studied Tailoring, entrepreneurship and General catering includes Hospitality. I joined Kashitu- NRCS when I was still a teen and Am now a chef for the facility. I really enjoy spend time in kitchen cooking for Volunteers includes Czech and German guys. Since ever I started mingling with them, have learnt how to prepare variety of meals and European recipes. It has been a great experience seeing them adopting our culture includes dress code. The most amazing moments with them are going to the Kashitu hill, dancing during campfire and funny time when cooking together. And am wishing the completion of secondary school because it will create more job and occupation opportunities for people from the community.

I studied geography and civic education in the education faculty as teacher by professional. Am spearheading the finances of the team NRCS, in charge of education and agriculture and gardening. I have learnt skills on how to manage finances at personal and group level and more technologies.
Czech people working culture considering time and amazing to work with. We need to speed up the construction of secondary school because it's a community´s benefits.

I manage the finances of the nonprofit New Renato Community Society. Thanks to my social studies degree, I know how important it is to support young people's development, which is why I strive to create opportunities for them.
Joseph
The connection between the Czech and Zambian sides came about thanks to my meeting with Czechs during my trip to Europe. I am a member of the NRCS. I handle organizational matters, deal with official paperwork, and keep people informed. I am the chief photographer, and the photos you've seen from Kashitu thru the last year were taken by me. I live in Kashitu with my large family.

I am the lead female member of the NRCS. I attend the sewing workshop and also handle the sale of products.
Anton
Anton is part of the team helping to build Kashitu School, mainly working on bricklaying. He enjoys being on the construction site and says that bricklaying is something he really likes. When he is not working, he enjoys playing football, and his favourite team is Manchester City. He also has a special talent for driving and is known in the team as our driver, Dumas.
Auxilia
Auxilia graduated from secondary school last year and is now learning new skills that can help her on her journey towards her dream of becoming an engineer. In the future, she hopes to continue her studies in Zambia and, if the opportunity comes, would love to study abroad. She is also inspired by her cousin, who graduated in chemical engineering. Outside of her studies, Auxilia loves music and singing – especially singing in English. Her favourite artists include John Drew and Rema.

Ejijah
Elijah works as a workshop keeper and also helps with the construction of Kashitu School. He enjoys his work and especially values spending time with the other members of the team. In his free time, Elijah enjoys playing chess, reading books and travelling. He especially likes exploring different parts of Zambia, with Livingstone and Kasama being among the furthest places he has visited. He also enjoys spending some of his free time on social media.
Friday junior
Friday Junior part of the team building Kashitu School. He works on the foundations and also helps with making roof structures, bricks and bricklaying. Every day, he is learning new things and gaining more experience in construction. In his free time, Friday is a passionate footballer and also loves singing, especially love songs. Although he does not have his own band, singing is something he truly enjoys.
Gospel
Gospel is part of the team building Kashitu School. He works on making bricks and bricklaying and really enjoys what he does. He likes listening to music while he works, especially Zambian music and gospel, which is particularly close to him. Alongside his work on the construction site, Gospel also runs a small business, providing mobile money and registration services. In his free time, he enjoys playing football and is happy to be part of the team working together to build the school.

Charles
Charles Kanyemba is part of the team building Kashitu School. He takes part in a variety of construction tasks, with his particular speciality being tile installation and other finishing work. He enjoys being part of building the new school and working together with the rest of the team. In his free time, Charles enjoys playing football. He has already celebrated several victories with his team and plays whenever he gets the chance. What Charles appreciates most about the project is the people he gets to work with and the support and cooperation they share.
Mildred
Mildred Stembo is part of the team building Kashitu School. She works as a general worker and mainly makes bricks, but she is happy to help with almost anything needed on the construction site. She also enjoys cooking for the others, and her favorite food is shima with fish. In her free time, she especially loves singing, mainly Zambian and gospel music, as well as dancing and reading.
Moses
Moses Kamuindo is part of the team helping to build Kashitu School. He mainly works on bricklaying and brickmaking, and he especially enjoys working with bricks. He is also happy to gain new experience and develop his construction skills. In his free time, Moses enjoys music, singing and dancing. He especially likes Zambian music, with Kinji Tu, Chide Wanu and Jemaxi among his favourite musicians. He dances simply for the joy of it, even though he does not usually go to parties to dance.
Mr Joseph
Joseph works as a project manager and has been part of the Kashitu community for more than 16 years. For him, the Kashitu School project is much more than just a construction project – he has watched the community change and grow over the years. He remembers when the school site was little more than grass, and today he is proud to see a new school taking shape. One of the things that makes him especially happy is that his children, who were very young when he first joined the organisation, are now also taking part in the same project. In his free time, Joseph enjoys chess, reading, watching movies and occasionally playing the guitar.
Newen
Newen joined the Kashitu School project to learn new skills in construction that he hopes to use in his future work. He enjoys learning practical skills and gaining experience that can help him in the years ahead. In his free time, Newen values peace, friendship and spending time with others. He also enjoys playing football, although an injury currently keeps him from playing. Another important part of his life is farming, which he enjoys and works in as a farmer.
Patwell
Patwell is part of the team helping to build Kashitu School. He takes on a variety of tasks on the construction site, mainly bricklaying and digging sand. He enjoys the work and is happy to be part of the team and see how everyone works together as the school gradually takes shape. In his free time, Patwell enjoys listening to gospel music. Dancing is not really his thing – he prefers simply listening to the music and enjoying its atmosphere.
