Part 3/3: New contacts and moments in Zambian wilderness

This week, we were also delighted by a wonderful visitor on-site. The headmistress from Vinjeru School in Kapiri Mposhi came by and invited us to visit again. We are very happy that our paths are crossing once more, and we will likely pay a visit to Vinjeru School as early as next week. Meetings like this are incredibly important to us. After all, Kashitu is not just about buildings, roofs, pipes, or bricks. It is, above all, about people, collaboration, and relationships that can spark new ideas and opportunities.

And after days filled with hard work, the Czech builders were able to enjoy a different kind of experience. They went on a trip to Nsobe Game Camp, a beautiful nature reserve in the middle of a miombo woodland. It is a place where one can pause for a moment, take a deep breath, and admire African nature in all its beauty. It is home to giraffes, zebras, warthogs, as well as many species of antelopes and birds.

These moments, too, are part of our shared journey. Following demanding days on the construction site, they offer space for relaxation, new experiences, and perhaps a chance to realize once again just how truly special Kashitu and its surroundings are.

And so we continue forward. The trusses are up. New structures are rising. Water and electricity are gradually connecting the entire campus. The toilets are taking shape, and the composting plant is step-by-step becoming a reality.

Every week brings new challenges. But at the same time, it brings another proof that when people, hard work, and a shared vision come together, even seemingly distant dreams can begin to transform into something real.
