Teambuilding at Villa Vallila
Over the weekend of April 26–27, we gathered for a teambuilding workshop in the pleasant surroundings of Villa Vallila. Many of our Kashitu volunteers joined us – mostly university students from Brno, Prague, and Ústí nad Labem – who are involved in preparing the project in Zambia, whether they are joining the trip this year or contributing from the Czech Republic. Among them were both newcomers to the project and long-term members, including those who've been involved since the very beginning.
The first day of the teambuilding was led by Ivan Kobelev and together, we focused on team cooperation, mutual support, conflict resolution, and building trust. Our aim was not only to strengthen relationships within the team but also to prepare participants for intensive collaboration in the coming months.
The second day was dedicated to the topic of development cooperation. Under the guidance of Jan Blinka, we discussed how development cooperation works, what strategies the Czech Republic applies, and the role of non-profit organizations in the global context. In the afternoon, we turned to practical aspects of the trip – vaccinations, logistical preparations, and sharing expectations and concerns related to the journey and stay in Zambia.
The entire weekend took place in a friendly and open atmosphere. It was inspiring to see so many motivated people eager to get involved and create something meaningful together.
Thank you to everyone who came – we look forward to the next steps of our shared journey.
